This course provides the foundation for mechatronic engineering students to acquire and apply the language of engineering graphis to visibly communicate engineering intent that follow good engineering conversations and practices. In this course, drafting techniques using CAD software will be introduced using CAD software will be introduced to model 2-D and 3-D engineering drawings which including sketching techniques, multi vies projections, pictorial, sectional and auxiliary view representation and dimensional techniques. The use of solid modeling software to capture design intent and generate engineering drawings gives the opportunity to apply this knowledge for engineering design projects.
