The aim of this courseis to study the underlying physical principles, the fabrication technologies, and applications of a broad range of nanoelectronic devices. This includes device scaling of standard MOSFETs into nanoscale dimensions, electron transport and quantum effects in nanostructures and their applications, nanocharacterization, and nanofabrication methods (e.g., submicron optical lithography and electron-beam lithography).
