Course Synopsis

World class case studies from different industries will be used as an effective means for developing the business analysis skills. The course is oriented towards the use of financial statements for managerial decision-making in the volatile environment. Particular emphasis is placed on business analysis of financial performance. In the case study analyses, the students need to understand the industry's dynamics, the company's position in the industry, any significant business and accounting risks. Based on the analysis, the students should be able to assess the company performance and evaluate its future prospects. The course will be conducted through discussion of durable as well as contemporary problems and decision issues.

Cources Outcomes

1. Ability to design the prospect of companies and the future challenges and financial performance based on evaluation of current financial position, the position of the companies in the industry and the economic condition.
2. Ability to develop a value creation framework that builds upon techniques in accounting, finance, economy and strategy for all stages and situations in businesses.
3. Ability to formulate risks management strategies.

 

Searching for Printed Books

Printed Books are located at both Main Library and Branch Library in Kangar. This is due to nature of this subjects, we were fairly needed by students and researchers in other subject areas.
