Course Synopsis

The main purpose this course is to introduce students to methods and modern techniques of engineering economic analysis for decision making, evaluations of economic alternatives, cost control, capital budgeting, managerial cost accounting, deterministic inventory theory and decision-making under uncertainty situation. It provides a background of economic principles that engineers encounter in working on development projects. Students
are also analyse the financial and economic concepts that are required in engineering project financial performance, from the conceptual stage to the engineering and design stages.
