This course introduces the different types of signals and networks present in an engineering systems. Signal and system representations are discussed for both time (Fourier Series) and frequency domains (Fourier and Laplace transform). The concept of transfer function is introduced and other applications of the Laplace transform such as for the solution of differential equations, and circuit analyses are presented. The application ofz-transform is introduced in the analysis of signals and systems. At the end of this course, the students are able to analyze different types of signals using numerous transformation techniques and evaluate its performance.
